Kokua is Hawaiian for aiding, or help. We offer Kokua to our animals by providing the correct environment for them, and anticipating their needs as the weather and seasons change.
Will they have to handle parasites and insects in the coming months? Colder weather or wind? Does their housing need to be improved? Will the sun be too much in the summer? If they have an injury, are they getting daily help from their owners to eliminate, eat and drink? Are simple energy moving techniques being used to assist with healing?

Just as you wouldn’t feed a hot dog to a sheep, cats require a diet appropriate to a carnivore, and dogs to an omnivore.
Fresh, locally grown food is the most appropriate diet for all of us, our pets included.
