PUA'S FISHING TALE
Pua loves being with mom and dad outdoors, so after a vacation without her we promised to take her off shore fishing.
HOKU'S STORY
Recently, my beloved nine year old “poi dog”, Hoku became gravely ill. Of course it was on the weekend and our Vet, Dr. Robin Woodley was on vacation.
"Kawili"
Kawili has suffered from a chronic oral viral infection for nearly 10 years needing antibiotics
and steroids to control the pain.
"Maile" Paralysis on Hind Legs
Maile’s appointment with Dr Woodley was on Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Our concern was her paralysis on her hind legs.
Amazing "Gracie"
Gracie is a fire cat who pushed the boundries a little too far.
"Diogi"
I was having a great day at Pololu Valley, playing in the water and sand, sniffing great smells and tasting the wonderful things there when I started jerking and twitching all over.
"Myrrh"
Myrrh, our extremely soft, cuddly, amusing and interactive tabby, came into our family right around Christmas 2000, our little Yuletide gift. Hence; “Myrrh”. The name fits also because of his rich amber color, and he smells good too.We adopted him, retrieving him from “death row” afflicted with numerous, but manageable ailments. We loved and nurtured him back to health. He was always a bit challenged though; hyper allergic, super twitchy itchy, over-groomer (nearly licked himself bald a couple of times), and tirelessly talkative, to put it mildly.
What a character! Finally he developed seizures, very scary!
"Ichiro"
My name is Ichiro and I have a very important job maintaining the security of my family compound.
Tiger
Tiger joined our family over 12 years ago somewhat by accident. A man gave 2 of my children a box of kittens to leave at the Kamehameha Statue, a NO NO in my book. I told them they were to immediately return them and ask him to call the Humane Society. My little son begged to keep one so I finally gave in. Leave it to him that chose the ugliest, scrawniest of the litter but it was obvious that is the one he wanted.
Impressed with Treatment
I have been taking my pets to Kapa’au Veterinary Center for approximately two years and am very impressed with the way in which Dr. Woodley and her staff treat my pets both on a personal and professional level.

I Love Maka
My first cat in Hawaii, Maka, is a great mouser. When he was a little kitten, he would mew and mew and mew. Then jump at the screen and cling there. Even if I scolded him, he wouldn’t let go! One day, we had a toy mouse and gave it to him. He went crazy with playing with it. I’d never seen a cat so enthralled with a toy mouse. Ever since then, he has earned his keep – keeping rats and mice out of my house!
